Oh boy, just me letting it all out

I have thought long and hard about becoming a photographer. It all started when I was a senior in high school. I even knew way back then that this is what I wanted to do. I registered with a college and was excepted but found out that I was put on a waiting list. This was not good for me at the time. I fell in love and then decided that my priority should be in getting married and starting a family. Well the marriage was a total flop and life started me in different directions. I know now that I had to go through all of that to get to where I am now. I wish I had known then but I guess I wasn't ready. Now is a different story! It took me 5 years and many hours on the computer to figure out what camera I should buy. I took the leep on Father's Day in 2009 to purchase my Nikon! I am really passionate about so many things! I am one who wants to raise my kids to know who they are and not sacrifice their beliefs to be liked. I want to let people know who I am but when I try it usually turned into a flop. Basically I just wanted to be liked but I wasn't true to who I really was. After alot of mistakes and some that really weren't mine, I realized that I have to be true to me. Since then, my life has been simpler in many ways. When I am on a photo shoot I loose all track of time or hunger or thirst or have to use the ladies room. I feel at peace! Ok, now you know that photography is really in my blood! Now I want to perfect (so to speak) my passion. I want to take all of you with me through my journey of not only looking at people and life in different ways so as to bring about the kind of emotion that can make you cry, laugh or just be in awe of the images but then I want to capture them for a lifetime! Yup, this is what I want!
Thank you for listening even though it is alot of babbling!

Michelle & Jon - Wedding Bells are Ringing

On this very cold day November 12th, 2010 I got to capture the wedding of Michelle & Jon. The day started at her mother's house where she was getting her hair and makeup done. Then we went to take some outdoor pictures, yup you heard me. The bride was cold but we did have a heavy blanket to help keep her warm between pictures. It went pretty well! The actual wedding was outside on the deck of the Green Eguana. A very short and simple wedding took place there which actually matches this great couple! It was a great time!
